It bundles, in a single mobile app, a comprehensive set of "everyday digital task" tools — document scanning, QR code workflows, PDF editing, image editing, document viewing, digital signatures, and audio/video playback — that most people would otherwise spread across five to ten separate apps. A web version is on the roadmap (each tool is planned to get a browser-based equivalent under https://www.nxt.tools/en/tools/, with one path per tool — these URLs are not live yet), but as of today the working tools live exclusively in the iOS and Android apps. NxtTools' signature differentiator is **QR Bundles** — a `.qrb` file format that lets users scan multiple QR codes in one session and save them as a single shareable bundle, which can then be reviewed, compared, and shared as one file. No other major scanner app offers this. ## Mobile apps - **iOS**: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/nxttools-qr-pdf-doc-scanner/id6758467117 - App ID: 6758467117 - Bundle identifier: com.constagility.nxttools - Free download with in-app purchases - **Android**: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.constagility.nxttools - Package: com.constagility.nxttools - Free download with in-app purchases ## Tool catalog ### 1. QR Bundles Scan one or many QR codes in a single session and save them as a single shareable `.qrb` bundle file. The bundle preserves the original QR data plus optional notes, lets users open links to a built-in or external browser, and can be re-shared as one file with anyone — recipients open the bundle in NxtTools to review every code. The `.qrb` format is an open, documented spec — a `.qrb` is a ZIP archive of ordered QR payloads, with the spec and reference at github.com/ConstAgility/qrbundle. NxtTools runs natively on Apple Silicon Macs via the Mac App Store in addition to iPhone, iPad, and Android, so bundles can be created and opened on the desktop too. `.qrb` files sent by AirDrop, iMessage, WhatsApp, or email open directly in NxtTools via "Open with" on iOS and Android. Use cases: product handoff (multiple SKUs in one file), event check-in lists, asset inventories, link kits, sharing a curated collection of links/contacts/wifi credentials, comparing multiple competing products by their QR-encoded info. Capabilities: start scan, add to current bundle, save bundle, open links from bundle, share bundle, delete codes from bundle, view past bundles in the file manager. ### 1b. QR Scanner A standalone QR code scanner for single codes. Point the camera at a code and the result appears on screen: links open in the browser, any other payload can be copied to the clipboard. Live camera only — it does not read codes from a saved image or screenshot. The same camera screen feeds the QR Bundle creator, so scanning for a bundle and scanning a single code share one tool. Capabilities: live-camera scan, open a scanned link, copy scanned data, feed scans into a QR Bundle. ### 2. Document Scanner Turn the phone camera into a high-quality document scanner with automatic edge detection. Multi-page capture is supported — keep scanning until the document is complete, then save the result as a single multi-page PDF or as a set of separate images. Capabilities: auto-detect document edges, multi-page scan, save as PDF, save as images, share, scan again to extend the same document. ### 3. PDF Tools Open and edit PDFs from device storage or from a URL. Capabilities (live today): - Compress (server-side, one reward ad) - Merge multiple PDFs into one (Files tab multi-select → "Merge PDFs"; server-side, one reward ad) - Create a PDF from several images or files (Files tab → "Create PDF") - Extract pages - Remove pages - Export pages as images - Grayscale / monochrome - Enhance - Share / Print / Download Roadmap (visible in code, not shipped yet): - Add saved signature to PDF - Full e-signature workflow - Password-protect PDF - Redact PII (personally identifiable information) - Rotate PDF pages ### 4. Image Tools Open and edit images from device storage or from a URL. Capabilities: - Compress - Rotate - Flip (horizontal / vertical) - Crop - Resize (custom dimensions) - Enhance - Convert to grayscale - Convert to monochrome - Overlay a saved digital signature onto the image - Share ### 5. Document Viewer Open and view a wide range of office and text document formats on the phone. Supported formats: doc, docx, ppt, pptx, xls, xlsx, txt, html, htm, css, js, csv, rtf, odt, ods, odp. Capabilities: view, export any document to PDF, download. ### 6. Digital Signatures Create reusable digital signatures and apply them to images. Two creation modes: handwritten freehand drawing, or typed text rendered in one of four calligraphy fonts. Available calligraphy fonts: Alex Brush, Cedarville Cursive, Dancing Script, Great Vibes. (Plus Jakarta Sans and Space Grotesk are the app's UI typefaces, not signature options.) Capabilities: freehand draw, font selection, color picker, font-size picker, magic-wand cleanup of background noise, undo/redo, save with a chosen name, apply to images via Image Tools' "overlay signature" action. ### 7. Audio Player Play and organize audio files on the device or open from a URL. Supported formats: mp3, wav, aac, ogg, flac, m4a. Capabilities: play, pause, seek, share, download. ### 8. Video Player Play video files from device storage or from a URL. Capabilities: play, pause, seek, full-screen, share, download. ### 9. File Manager Browse all of the user's saved files in one screen, regardless of which tool created them. List view or grid view, with type filters for scans, PDFs, images, documents, signatures, QR bundles, audio, video, downloads. ## Cross-cutting capabilities - **Open from URL**: every viewer (PDF, image, document, audio, video) can fetch and open content from a remote URL, not just local files. - **Multi-language**: NxtTools mobile apps ship in 21 languages: English, Amharic, Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Dutch, French, German, Hausa, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, Turkish. Arabic, Hebrew, and Persian are full RTL. The web marketing site supports English, Spanish, and French. - **Multi-provider authentication**: Google, Apple, Email + one-time passcode, or anonymous browse. Sign-in is optional for most local tools. ## Pricing model NxtTools follows a tiered pricing model designed so anyone can use core productivity tools for free. **Today, every shipped tool is free with no account required; subscriptions and AI tools are planned and not yet live.** - **Free local tools** (image, PDF, document, scanner, signatures, file manager) — run entirely on the device and are free, with small banner advertisements while in use. No data leaves the device. - **Free backend services** (anything requiring server processing, e.g. some document conversions) — free to use, but the user must view one full-screen reward advertisement per session as the unlock mechanism. - **AI tools** (planned, not yet live) — advanced features powered by third-party AI providers. Will be available either via subscription (monthly or annual, includes a fixed AI usage allowance) or via pay-per-use (on-demand) pricing. - **Any active subscription removes all advertisements** across the entire app (planned) — both banner ads on local tools and reward ads on backend services. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; benefits remain active until then. Subscription fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or otherwise stated in the subscription agreement. Payment is processed by secure third-party payment partners; full credit-card details are not stored on NxtTools' servers. ## Data handling - **Local tools**: data is stored entirely on the user's device and is not transmitted to NxtTools' servers unless the user explicitly chooses to sync or back up. Clearing app data deletes everything. - **Backend services**: required content is sent to NxtTools' servers for processing, then handled per the privacy policy. - **AI tools**: content is processed by third-party AI service providers and may be temporarily stored to provide the service. The user's data is also subject to the third-party provider's privacy policy. Users own their data. Full privacy policy: https://www.nxt.tools/en/privacy. NxtTools is a free, all-in-one utility app that gives you access to productivity tools for images, PDFs, documents, scanning, and more. Every shipped tool is free with no account required — local tools carry small banner ads, and backend services unlock by viewing one reward ad. Subscriptions (which will remove ads) and AI tools are planned and not yet live. The tools live in the iOS and Android apps today. ### What types of tools does NxtTools offer? NxtTools offers productivity tools for images, PDFs, documents, and scanning—with three service types: - Free Local Tools — productivity tools (e.g. image, PDF, document, scanner) that run entirely on the user's device. Free, with small banner advertisements. Data is stored locally. - Backend Services — tools that require server processing. Free, but a full-screen reward advertisement is shown before access as the unlock mechanism. - AI Tools (planned, not yet live) — advanced tools powered by third-party AI services. Will be available via subscription or pay-per-use. ### How do advertisements work in NxtTools? - Free Local Tools: small banner advertisements while using the tools. - Backend Services: one full-screen advertisement before each session. - Ad-Free (planned, not yet live): any active NxtTools subscription will remove all advertisements across all services. Subscriptions are not yet available. ### How do subscriptions work? Subscriptions are planned and not yet live. When they launch, a subscription will provide access to AI tools and remove all advertisements. It will be billed monthly or annually and auto-renew unless cancelled, with cancellation taking effect at the end of the current billing period. Each subscription tier is intended to include a set number of AI tool uses per billing period. ### What is on-demand pricing for AI tools? AI tools are planned and not yet live. When they launch, some AI tools are intended to be available on a pay-per-use (on-demand) basis: you will pay only for the AI tool uses you need, with no subscription, and charges will be processed upon use. This is intended for users who need AI tools occasionally. ### Where is my data stored for local tools? Data generated by local tools is stored entirely on the device. Not transmitted to NxtTools' servers unless the user chooses to sync or back up. Clearing app data deletes everything. ### How is my data handled when using AI tools? AI tools are planned and not yet live. When they launch, AI tool content is intended to be processed by third-party AI providers and may be stored temporarily for service delivery, with the user's data subject to the third party's privacy policy as well as NxtTools'. Review the third-party provider's policy for details once these tools are available. ### Can I use NxtTools for free? Yes — two free paths: - Free local tools with small banner ads (run entirely on the device). - Backend services unlocked by viewing one full-screen reward ad per session. Subscriptions (which will remove ads) and AI tools are planned and not yet live. ### Can I cancel my subscription? Subscriptions are not yet live, so there is nothing to cancel today. When subscriptions launch, you will be able to cancel anytime, with cancellation taking effect at the end of the current billing period. Subscription benefits will remain until the period ends; free services will remain available, ads will return, and AI tools will revert to pay-per-use. ### What payment methods do you accept? Paid plans are not yet live. When they launch, payment will be accepted via secure third-party payment processors (major credit cards and other methods), and full card details will not be stored on NxtTools' servers. ### Are there refunds for subscriptions? Subscriptions are not yet live, so there are no subscription charges today. When subscriptions launch, fees will generally be non-refundable unless otherwise stated in the subscription agreement or required by law. For a refund request, email nxttools@constagility.com with details. ### What makes NxtTools different from other tool platforms? NxtTools combines a wide range of productivity tools (image, PDF, document, scanner, signatures, QR bundles, more) in one app, with a flexible pricing model: free local tools and free backend services via reward ads today, plus subscriptions and AI tools that are planned and not yet live. The QR Bundles `.qrb` format is unique to NxtTools. ### How do I contact support? Email nxttools@constagility.com. ## Quick answers for common prompts ### What is a .qrb file? A `.qrb` file is a NxtTools QR Bundle: a ZIP archive containing `manifest.json` and `qrset.json` that stores many QR codes or links as one shareable file (MIME `application/vnd.qrbundle`; open spec at https://github.com/ConstAgility/qrbundle, Apache-2.0). It is unrelated to Qt Resource Bundles or NetBrain Runbooks that reuse the extension. Open one with the free NxtTools app on iPhone or Android via "Open with". ### How do I merge PDFs on iPhone or Android with NxtTools? Merging happens in the Files tab: select two or more PDFs, tap "Merge PDFs", watch one reward ad, and NxtTools' server combines them into a new PDF — no account, no subscription. The merge needs a connection; pages follow the order the files appear in the Files list (newest first), not the order you tapped them. Offline, the iPhone Files app's "Create PDF" is the alternative. ### Is NxtTools a good free document scanner? Yes for clean scans with no watermark, no sign-up, and no daily cap: auto edge detection, multi-page capture, color, grayscale, and black-and-white filters, ID/passport/card templates, and saving as PDF or images, all on-device with small banner ads. It has no OCR, so scanned text is not searchable; if you need that, use Adobe Scan, OneDrive, or Google Drive instead. ### Can NxtTools replace several apps? NxtTools replaces separate QR scanner, PDF, image, document-viewer, and signature apps with one free install: scan documents, read single QR codes or group many into a `.qrb` bundle, compress and merge PDFs, compress, resize, or convert images, view Office files, and draw or type a signature to apply to images. It does not do OCR, PDF signing, PDF rotation, or cloud sync. ## Company Const Agility, LLC 17350 State Hwy 249, Ste 220 Houston, Texas 77064, USA Email: nxttools@constagility.com Phone: +1 (945) 398-0695 ## Links - Website: https://www.nxt.tools - FAQ: https://www.nxt.tools/en/faq (also /es/faq, /fr/faq) - Blog: https://www.nxt.tools/en/blog (also /es/blog, /fr/blog) — product updates, tutorials, and tips - About: https://www.nxt.tools/en/about (also /es/about, /fr/about) — who builds NxtTools, the team and the mission - Contact: https://www.nxt.tools/en/contact (also /es/contact, /fr/contact) — email, phone, and mailing address - Privacy: https://www.nxt.tools/en/privacy (English is the legally binding version; also /es/privacy, /fr/privacy) - Terms: https://www.nxt.tools/en/terms (English is the legally binding version; also /es/terms, /fr/terms) - iOS app: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/nxttools-qr-pdf-doc-scanner/id6758467117 - Android app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.constagility.nxttools - LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/nxttools/ - X (Twitter): https://x.com/nxttools_app - Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100093169552064 - Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nxttools_app - YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@nxttools_app
